Effective area for RGS1 (black) and RGS2 (red) (two orders) as calculated by the SAS, based on in flight calibrations on celestial sources. Apart of the two failing chains (CCD4 in RGS2 and CCD7 in RGS1) the CCD boundaries can be easily identified. In addition the effect of hot pixels and columns can be seen.
